I’m noticing all kinds of cute baseball themed clothing and decor in the stores right now, but the thing I’m going to share with you today was an almost free DIY project and it’s one of my favorite little things in the room.. We decided to take Kennedy’s old pink ball glove and turn it into a piece of art for the room, since we really had no use for it anymore and I love (love, LOVE) how it turned out.. We actually started working on this months ago, while I was still pregnant, but didn’t really get it finished until this week.

What really happened is that one day the weather was perfectly Fall-ish, I had a little bit of free time, and I wanted Fall in the livingroom.now.. Progress needed to be made right then and there and now dilly-dallying of any sort would be permitted..

I started playing around with things I had on hand, and what do you know?This is almost always the way it happens, despite all of my grand plans..I kept up with my tactic of sticking things to the walls (that need to be torn out and replaced anyway eventually) just like I did.

This time, instead of nailing sticks into the walls, I hot glued on some burlap..The orange Jack-Be-Littles came from our garden and then white ones I had picked up at the farmer’s market for super cheap.

The cornucopia came from Michael’s on clearance a couple of years ago for something like 74 cents.

I keep forgetting it in storage and I haven’t had the chance to use it until now.I was coming up with all of these fun little ideas all over the place that were taking almost no effort at all, but really helped to bring that whole homemade Christmas feel to the house.

It was a good time!.Although I don’t have many Christmas decorations up yet this year, I know that those trees will look so much better against freshly-painted walls when (if?)

we eventually get them up..I thought it couldn’t hurt to share a few of my projects from last year though, just because I always love a good easy-peasy project and I’m sure a lot of you do too..
